The Allied Conservative Congress, ACC, has called on Nigerians, especially the Christians, to use this period to pray for the restoration of the country’s lost glory.
The party said this in its message to Christians on the occasion of the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
It called on Christendom to use the period as a sober reflection on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and to rededicate their lives in service to God and humanity.
“They should also use the occasion to pray for God’s mercy and restoration of our dear nation,” a statement signed by Rev. Olusegun Peters, National Chairman, ACC, said.
“The need for patriotism cannot be overemphasized in this trying period of our nationhood. We enjoin Nigerians to set aside their differences and join hands in building a better, stronger and prosperous democratic nation that future generations will be proud of.
“We call for a conservative ideology which the Allied Conservative Congress champions. We commend millions of Nigerians for embracing the ACC’s conservative ideology. It is the panacea to multifarious political, economic and social challenges citizens face.
“As more Nigerians embrace the conservative ideology of integrity, morality, patriotism etc, in place of personal aggrandizement that breeds corruption, violence and bad governance, Nigeria will regain its lost glory.
“Certainly, Nigeria is the only country we have, let us join hands to make it great again.”
