Usyk predicts Joshua victory in Dubois IBF showdown tonight

Nigeria-born Anthony Joshua will come out on top against Daniel Dubois, according to a prediction by heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.

Usyk backed Joshua to beat Daniel Dubois in their IBF heavyweight world title fight billed to hold at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night

Usyk vacated the IBF belt for Dubois, and the Ukrainian believes two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua will overcome Greenwich-born Dubois.

He told Sky Sports: “I think it’s AJ. I respect both of these guys, but I predict Anthony.

“It’s good. IBF did not take my belt, I gave my belt to Anthony Joshua and Dubois.

“Because for me, it’s important that my sport of boxing develops.”

After back-to back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, Joshua is now on a run of four wins as the two-time former unified world heavyweight champion looks to continue his revival.

A dream showdown with the winners of Usyk and Fury’s upcoming rematch is the likely next match for tonight’s victor.
