Newscenter Media News Vice President Kashim Shettima has described the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, as an institution that must be jealously guarded and protected. Shettima stated this following an alarm raised by the Executive Director of the Muslim Rights Council (MURIC), Prof. Isiaq Akintola, that the Sokoto government is allegedly plotting to depose the Sultan.
