Despite persistent calls to reduce the cost of governance, no fewer than 15 state assemblies across the country have increased their states’ 2025 budgets by a staggering N470bn, escalating expenditures for the upcoming fiscal year, Saturday PUNCH reports. As of December 27, approximately 24 state assemblies across the federation had approved their respective 2025 budgets.
