Newscenter Media News Three Lions of England are now without a manager as Gareth Southgate has resigned from his position after his team failed to win the 2024 European Championship.
England, who have been looking to break a 58-year jinx, were defeated 2-1 by Spain in the final of the tournament last Sunday.
Defeat meant that England had failed to win in back-to-back finals of the European tournament and have not won any major trophy since 1966.
Southgate, 53, managed England for 102 games in eight years in charge and his contract was set to expire later this year.

But on Tuesday, the 53-year-old announced that he quits.
“As a proud Englishman, it has been the honour of my life to play for England and to manage England,” said Southgate.
“It has meant everything to me, and I have given it my all.
“But it’s time for change, and for a new chapter.”
England’s football federal has now announced that the process to employ Southgate’s successor has started.
Meanwhile, England’s next match is against the Republic of Ireland in the Nations League on 7 September.
