South Africa’s Zuma vows protests, says 2024 elections rigged

South African former president Jacob Zuma on Sunday said his new party would join an opposition alliance to coordinate resistance to the government while maintaining its challenge to the general election results. “The 2024 elections were rigged” the uMkhonto weSizwe party spokesman Nhlamulo Ndhlela said, reading out a statement on behalf of the 82-year-old ex-leader.
