Solomon Ewuga formally rejoins APC, meets party officials

Senator Solomon Akku Ewuga, a political leader in Nasarawa State, has officially rejoined the governing All Progressives Congress, APC, after dumping the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Ewuga, who represented Nasarawa North in the 7th Nigerian Senate, announced the development during a meeting with APC officials in his Alushi-Ginda Ward on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.

The meeting, which took place in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, was attended by key APC officials from Ewuga’s local government area.

The senator, who had previously served as Deputy Governor of the state and Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has a significant political background.

Ewuga played a crucial role as one of the founding fathers of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, which later merged with other political parties to form the APC in 2013.
