Newscenter Media News The crisis currently rocking the Lagos State House of Assembly has taken a new dimension as all security aides attached to the Speaker, Hon. Mojisola Meranda, have been withdrawn.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Speaker on Media, Ganzallo Victor, who raised the alarm in a statement on Thursday, said no reason was given for the withdrawal of Meranda’s security aide, which has left her ‘vulnerable.’
“All the Speaker’s security aides have been withdrawn. All the security aides attached to the House of Assembly have also been withdrawn. The speaker is now vulnerable,” Gonzalo said in the statement.
“We don’t know why the authorities have done that but all the police officers and other security details attached to her have been withdrawn. She’s on her own at the moment,” he added.
It was however, gathered that on the other hand, all the security aides attached to erstwhile Speaker, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa who had earlier been withdrawn following his ouster have been restored.
