Newscenter Media News Art-tech platform Raknida has secured the princely sum of $100k in grants to expand its business into the United States of America as it seeks to take African arts to a global audience.
The organization’s $100,000 funding from Arch Grants, a nonprofit that gives out $100,000 grants to startups in St. Louis, USA, made its US expansion possible.
Raknida founder Anthony “Anth” Ezeokoye stated, “It was a stiff competition,” and it’s worthy to note that this is not the first time the grant has been applied for.

According to him, the development is a component of the company’s goal to increase art accessibility and provide more marginalized artists with a platform to get their work recognized.
As a recipient of the Arch Grant, Raknida will now relocate 51 percent of its operations to St. Louis, USA, completing the first leg of its expansion plans with the UK and China still to come.
