Prestige, Neimeth, Sovereign Trust, NCR top list of stocks to watch this week

Now that trading activities in 2025 are in full swing with over N402 billion profit for investors in the first two trading days of the New Year, investors are looking forward to the new week with optimism.

The Nigerian equities market recorded gains in three of the four trading sessions this week due to the New Year break and ended up with a profit of N1.25 trillion.

The market capitalization increased to N63.1 trillion from N61.9 trillion the previous week.

Similarly, the All-Share Index (ASI) appreciated by 1.42% to close the week at 103,586.33 points from 102,133.30 points recorded the previous week.

The market’s performance was driven by strong showing from stocks like Prestige Assurance Plc; Neimeth International Pharmaceuticals Plc; Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc and NCR amongst others on the trading floor positioning them as stocks to watch in the new week.

NEIMETH • 2.76 ▴ 0.25 (9.96%)
