Newscenter Media News Super Eagles and Galatasaray’s striker Victor Osimhen has expressed delight with the budding partnership between himself and Argentina forward Mauro Icardi.
Osimhen, a Napoli player, joined Galatasaray on loan in the summer and has been spectacular for the Turkish club since his arrival.
The Nigeria international scored for Galatasaray in their 2-1 derby victory over Besiktas on Monday night, with Icardi also in action.
Speaking after the game, Osimhen said: “Icardi and I get along very well on the field. I have said this before. We work together in training. I know how experienced he is. Things he tells me happen.
“I try to apply them on the field. It is an honor for me to play with him. It is very difficult for any defense to block us. When they try to block me, sometimes they fail. When they try to block him, sometimes I fail. I am happy to be able to play with him.”

Osimhen also told the club’s website that the fans were phenomenal during the game, emphasising their role in the win.
“First of all, I want to thank our fans. They were incredible. We think they brought us the three points. We played well from the first moment to the last. We were good in terms of play.
“We faced a team with talented players, especially forwards. I am happy with the goal contribution. This is important; but the team’s performance was more important. Now we need to continue by building on this momentum,” Osimhen added.
Osimhen has now scored four goals in five appearances for the Turkish Super Lig leaders.
