Ondo State voters to test BVAS in mock accreditation exercise on Nov 6

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is set to conduct a mock accreditation of voters in Ondo State using the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS).

This exercise, scheduled for November 6, aims to test the system’s efficiency ahead of the upcoming governorship elections.

According to Sam Olumekun, National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee, through a press statement, on Thursday, “The Commission appeals to registered voters to come out with their PVCs for the exercise. Please note that only registered voters for the designated polling units are invited to participate in the exercise.”

Olumekun emphasized that results will be uploaded to the INEC Result Viewing (IReV) portal.

He also urged eligible voters to participate, stating, “No voter from another polling unit can be accredited by the BVAS.”
