Ofili finishes 6th in 200m Olympic final as Gabrielle Thomas wins gold

Nigeria’s Favour Ofili finished in sixth place in the women’s 200m final of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games on Tuesday night.

Ofili, who made it to the final after finishing third overall with 22.05 seconds in the semifinal on Monday, ran 22.25 seconds in the final.

USA’s Gabrielle Thomas ran 21.83 seconds to finish first in the race and won the Olympic gold.

100m champion Julien Alfred won the silver medal after racing 22.08 seconds, while USA’s Brittany Brown came third to win bronze on 22.20 seconds.
