NPFL: Rangers hold Enyimba as Oriental derby ends goalless

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions Rangers secured a goalless draw against Enyimba in a captivating oriental derby on Tuesday night in Aba.

Enyimba dominated proceedings throughout the match but failed to capitalize on the numerous chances they created.

Yemi Olanrewaju’s team earned nine corner kicks, while a defensively solid Rangers side managed none.

The draw moved Rangers up to fourth place on the table with 24 points from 15 matches, while Enyimba sit sixth with 21 points from 13 games.

Enyimba will now turn their focus to Sunday’s CAF Confederation Cup home fixture against reigning champions Zamalek of Egypt.
