Newscenter Media News Nigerian healthcare startup MDaaS has marked its entry into Francophone Africa in a bid to scale up after opening its first clinic in Cameroon.
MDaaS, a startup with 16 clinics across Nigeria, recently took this action as part of its plan to increase revenue and reduce exposure to Naira volatility.
The company which has witnessed rapid growth owing to the number of patients on its list has deemed it fit to diversify its operations from a single country.

“We’re scaling rapidly in Nigeria—we did over 16,000 patient visits last month—but we realised that we needed to diversify from a single country considering everything going on in Nigeria,” said Oluwasoga Oni, MDaaS CEO.
Oni also took time to explain the difference between MDaaS and other healthcare startups.
“What’s different about us is that we not only provide these services ourselves but we also install and handle everything, including the tech. Our tech is so good—it’s our secret sauce—which means we can coordinate at scale,” he said.
