NCDC raises the alarm over rising meningitis cases, reports 74 deaths

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention has expressed concern over the rising cases of Cerebrospinal Meningitis in the country. NCDC warned that its peak season runs from November to May. As of March 26, 2025, 807 suspected cases and 74 deaths have been reported across 22 states and the Federal Capital Territory. NCDC
