Late Nunez double seals big win for Liverpool at Brentford

Darwin Nunez put up a superfine performance as he helped Liverpool clinch a late victory over Brentford on Saturday afternoon.

Nunez bagged a brace – both goals coming in added time – as Liverpool return to winning ways with a 2-0 victory, having played a draw in their last three outings.

Nunez grabbed the opener in the 91st minute with a simple finish, and the Uruguay forward scored again two minutes later, rounding off a counter-attack as Brentford were caught short in defence.

With the win, the Arne Slot side extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table to seven points.
