Newscenter Media News The Imo State Government has dissolved all the executives of various auto market unions in the state.In their place, an interim management committee executive has been appointed to serve for three months.
Commissioner for Trade, Commerce and Investments, Chief Rex Anunobi, who disclosed this yesterday, said the decision was in the overall benefit of the people.
The newly appointed committee members are: Nze Anderson Anyiam, Chairman; Chief Rufus Osueke, Secretary; Chief Vincent Ugwoegbu, Member; and Eze Okaruwe, Member.
Their term of reference, Anunobi, disclosed, is recovering the arrears of revenues owed the state government; reorganising the auto market; developing a template for the final movement of car dealers from Aba Road to Avu; relocating illegal auto dealers within Owerri capital territory to Avu; maintaining peace and security in the markets; and carrying out other duties as may be directed by the commissioner.
