Chelsea’s winless Premier League run was extended to four games after Jean-Philippe Mateta struck late to salvage a draw for the home side.
Cole Palmer got Chelsea off to the perfect start after 14 minutes, scoring his 13th goal in the league after some fine work from Jadon Sancho.
Crystal Palace are now unbeaten in three league games and sit 15th, while Chelsea stay fourth.
In other Premier League games played concurrently, Bournemouth pipped Everton 1-0, Southampton were walloped 5-0 by Brentford, while Aston Villa defeated Leicester City 2-1.
Earlier on Saturday, Tottenham Hotspur were beaten 2-1 by visiting Newcastle United.
