Newscenter Media News Former Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson is set to leave his role as the club ambassador at the end of the season.
Ferguson, 82, has remained on the payroll of the Red Devils since his retirement as manager in 2013.
He has acted as a global ambassador and club director, and has been a regular at games and retains a seat in the directors’ box.

The decision is said to have been taken amicably following a direct conversation between Ferguson and co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe earlier this month.
According to the BBC, over 250 staff members have been made redundant already in a move the club expect to save around £10m a year.
Ferguson remains United’s most successful manager thanks to his 13 Premier League titles, two Champions Leagues, five FA Cups and four League Cups amongst others.
