The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Disciplinary Committee, Tom Ikimi, said on Monday fairness, firmness, and decisiveness would restore the hope and confidence to the party.
The former minister of foreign affairs stated this in a statement in Abuja.
He urged the party members and leadership to support the committee in its assignment.
Ikimi said: “We are hopeful that our fairness, firmness, and decisiveness will restore the hope and confidence of our great party to meet the expectations of our teeming membership nationwide and the Nigerian public who are desperate for an appropriate national leadership.”

The chairman said that all petitions would be dealt with in accordance with the PDP constitution.
Other members of the committee are ex-Kano State Governor Ibrahim Shekarau, former chairman of the Nigeria Port Authority (NPA) Chief Olabode George, Margaret Icheen, Senator Effiong Bob, and former Acting National Chairman of the PDP Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje.
One-time governorship candidate in Ondo State Eyitayo Jegede (SAN) will serve as secretary.
