Every group gets what it wants except Ndigbo —Kanu’s lawyer

Aloy Ejimakor, the Special Counsel to detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has reacted to the creation of a Ministry of Livestock Development by President Bola Tinubu aimed at addressing the lingering farmer-herder conflicts in the country.

While announcing the creation of the Ministry in Abuja on Tuesday, Tinubu said it was part of efforts towards addressing the age-long conflict between farmers and herdsmen across the country.

The President stated that the new ministry would address herders and farmers’ clashes and bolster the livestock and dairy industries as well as develop lasting solutions to the longstanding crisis between farmers and herders.

However, many Nigerians are not in sync with the President on the creation of the Ministry which they see as unnecessary and pandering to the whims of the North.

One of such is Ejimakor who believes the government is favouring other regions ahead of the South-East region and the Igbos in general.

In a post on his X handle on Wednesday, Ejimakor said every group in the country gets what it demands apart from the Igbos who get nothing no matter how hard they push for them.

“Every group, except #Ndigbo, easily gets what it demands. Does it have to be so hard being Igbo in Nigeria? Ndigbo, where’s thy #FavoriteSon?”
