El-Rufai accuses Kaduna Gov, Sani, NSA Ribadu of empowering bandits

Immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has accused his successor, Governor Uba Sani and the National Security Adviser, NSA, Nuhu Ribadu of empowering bandits by paying and rehabilitating them.

El-Rufai who has been constantly engaging Sani and Ribadu in a war of words in recent times, made the allegations in a post on his official X handle on Thursday, while responding to a tweet by an X user @realYusufTukur.

In an earlier post, @realYusufTukur had shared a report of a kidnapping incident in the state where he reported an incident where over 30 persons were kidnapped.

He alluded to the fact that the kidnapping would not trend because it would be covered up by the powers that be because they hate El-Rufai.

“This will not trend, since @elrufai, the man they’ve sworn to hate, is not the Governor.

“Meanwhile, NSA @NuhuRibadu is busy playing politics with security,” @realYusufTukur wrote.

While responding to the tweet, the former FCT Minister claimed that the kidnappers would be paid handsomely to release them early, while the NSA will hand the victims over to the state government in a colorful ceremony.

El-Rufai went on to allege that such moves were meant to empower the bandits financially, resulting in the purchase of more sophisticated weapons.

“KADUNA UPDATE: True!! Don’t worry @realYusufTukur, the bandits will be paid to release them early, and then the NSA will hand the victims over to the state government in colorful ceremony. Propaganda trumps sensible governance.

“The terrorists, thus further financially empowered, will purchase even more sophisticated weapons and abduct even more people in Kaduna and elsewhere……that is the new ‘modus operandi’ of the geniuses in charge of our state these days,” the former governor wrote.
