Ahead of their CHAN 2025 qualifying fixtures against Ghana, the home-based Super Eagles have received praises of team coach Austin Eguavoen.
The CHAN – African Nations Championship – is organised for the continental footballers plying their trade in their respective country’s domestic league.
Selected from various clubs in the country’s league, the Nigerian players have began training as preparations heightens ahead of the encounter witg the Black Stars.
Eguavoen is of the opinion that the players are very good technically, and he expects that more work will be done in bringing them all into playing as a formidable team.
Eguavoen stated this after the team completed their first training session at the FIFA Goal Project Pitch in Abuja earlier this week.

“Very impressive, only two training sessions, but you can see that technically they are very good,” Eguavoen said, per NFF TV.
“We still have a lot of work to do because they are coming from different clubs. We have to try to see how we can blend them into one unit.”
Ghana will host Nigeria in the first leg between 20th and 22nd December 2024, while the return leg will hold in Nigeria a week later.
The winner over two legs will earn a slot at the CHAN 2025, which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
