Newscenter Media News Substitute Dele Bashiru scored the only goal of the encounter as Super Eagles defeated Libya 1-0 in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.
The game played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Friday evening saw the hosts struggle to break the deadlock until the 86th minute.
The Eagles thought they had scored in the 85th minute when Ademola Lookman had the ball into the net, but it was ruled out for offside.
The breakthrough finally came about a minute later when Dele-Bashiru netted a brilliant half-volley from a fantastic Moses Simon cross.
