ABBEYBDS, DANGSUGAR, CHAMPION, SMURFIT, others top stocks to watch this week

The Nigerian equities market sustained the bullish trend as investors gained N196 billion on the trading floor of the Nigerian Xchange (NGX) in a quiet trading week.

The bourse recorded losses in four of the five trading days, however, market capitalization increased to N67.614 trillion from the N67.418 trillion recorded the previous week while the All-Share Index (ASI) also appreciated by 0.41% to close the week at 108,497.40 points from the 108,053.95 points recorded the previous week.

The market performance was buoyed by strong showings from stocks like Smart Products Nigeria (SMURFIT), Champion Breweries (CHAMPION), Dangote Sugar Refinery (DANGSUGAR), Abbey Mortgage Bank Plc (ABBEYBDS) amongst others on the bourse to position themselves as stocks to watch in the new week.

ABBEYBDS • 3.60 ▴ 0.19 (5.57%)
